Marketing Strategy: Ads on the Internet

Truc Quynh Nguyen

Watching TV Was Not the only Option for Entertainment Since the Internet Has Existed

The problem

The internet has become the main means for users to exploit everything. This leads to the vast number of people access the internet every day and Gen Y also takes internet for granted. While consumer’s view of TV has fallen down dramatically, other consumers find it is less annoying toward ads on social media.

Proximity’s on-demand media solution

Proximity’s focus group shows that Gen Y spends most of the time on the internet than on TV. They express that it is annoying somehow when they are watching their favorite show and there are too many commercials. Gen Y viewers prefer to watch it online.
This report shows how internet surfers have pleasant attitudes toward ads on the internet. This is also the signs for advertising companies to target Gen Y viewers in different media networks.
